Of poor minds and rich bodies.
Shame cloaked the lucky,
and served its purpose with chance,
I worked with the worlds of the hungry
and questioned its every stance.
Did I find a loaf of bread,
or did I find honey?
Did I find the cloth of dignity,
or did I find money?
But shredded with light are the lucky,
cloaked with shame at least;
But flooded with fright are the destitute,
with not a drop to think.
and served its purpose with chance,
I worked with the worlds of the hungry
and questioned its every stance.
Did I find a loaf of bread,
or did I find honey?
Did I find the cloth of dignity,
or did I find money?
But shredded with light are the lucky,
cloaked with shame at least;
But flooded with fright are the destitute,
with not a drop to think.
Shame. Such a powerful powerful emotion.
